Gmail is an email feature of Google. At now, the maximum internet user uses the service instead of Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail etc. Into the Gmail have many folders like- Inbox, Starred, Snoozed, Important, Sent, Drafts, Chat, All Emails, Spam, Trash etc. Also, there have many features like as- add a category, create filter and search etc. Today we’ll use the filter option to prevent email come into the Gmail spam folder.
Actually, I’ve discovered the solution when I see my company website contact form email going into my Gmail ‘Spam’ folder. It was totally unexpected. It should go to into the ‘Inbox’ folder. I’ll show you how to you can stop it.
Before it, you need to know which email goes into the Spam folder. Some emails Gmail detects as suspicious, bothering, insecure, contain virus file or something, that goes into the Spam folder. Besides, if you mark an email as ‘spam’, next time when your Gmail will receive an email from the website, Gmail will drop into the Spam folder. Gmail is really awesome 🙂 But sometime you will see that many secure emails, Gmail dropping into the spam folder and which you want to prevent. Let’s start…
At first, send an email from your website to Gmail. Normally it’ll go to the spam folder. Into the Gmail open the Spam folder and the email from your website. You will see a big notice area like this-
Click on the ‘Report not spam’ button. As a result, the email goes into your inbox. But next email will come into the spam folder again. To prevent it, let’s follow those steps.
Step 1:
Login in your Gmail account and click on the right side gear icon to the Settings menu.
Step 2:
The setting page will open and then click on “Filters and Blocked Addresses” tab.
Step 3:
Then click ‘Create a new filter‘. A popup will open. Then the popup fills like it. Insert your website name or filter keywords. After click on the ‘Create Filter‘ button.
Step 4:
The ‘Create filter’ will open. Here click on the checkbox ‘Never send it to Spam‘. Then click on the ‘Create filter‘ button
If you can pass these steps successfully, it may take 24 hours to affect with your Gmail account.
